As If I Don't Have Enough To Do

In my infinite wisdom, on top of working two jobs, maintaining two author websites, writing two books, and a full-time class schedule, I have decided that I have too much free time. So, naturally, I have decided I want to learn Russian.

Why Russian? Because with all the languages I speak, none use Cyrillic, and Russian seems to have more resources available for learning. As tempting as it is for me to dive headfirst into something more obscure, if learning Icelandic taught me anything, it's that having Duolingo, Memrise, and Rosetta Stone is a combo that can't be missed, and without all three of them offering the language, it can be very challenging to get it right without an in-person tutor.

I don't have any plans to change my stance on Russia in general. I still hate the war; I still hate how they treat my fellow queer people. I still dislike their current political situation. I have no plans to move to Moscow, I didn't discover any Russian relatives recently, and there is no career opportunity on the other side of this.

I just... want to try something new.

Why am I telling YOU about it? Because why not?
